Family Fun Day
This year throughout July and August we will be hosting our Family Fun Day event where there will be something for everyone. From bouncy castle to cake decorating, felt flower making to messy play we’ve got your summer sorted. Entry to the event is free however some activities will be charged. Admission to the charged activities can be bought on the day with cash or card however we do have early bird tickets up for grabs which will include entry to the bouncy castle, felt flower making, cake/biscuit decorating and a temporary tattoo. Activities for everyone
People with and without disabilities are coming together and connecting differently through our wide range of inclusive activities. From pottery and film-making, to singing and drumming, there’s something for everyone. These sessions are open to everyone with and without a communication disability.

Singing and Signing Choir
Whether you speak fluent BSL, are a beginner, or are brushing up your skills to support others, join our fun signing and signing choir, where you’ll learn songs as part of a social group.

Introduction to British Sign Language
Learn the basics of British Sign Language (BSL), or brush up your skills.
These introductory BSL classes are open to all, aged 12 and over.

Pottery and ceramic sessions
We offer pottery and ceramic classes for children and adults. Whether you’re looking to learn new skills or want a new hobby, or if you’d like your child to develop their creative side, there’s plenty of classes happening.
- Starter pottery classes for adults.
- Ceramic and wheel-work sessions for adults.
- ‘Young makers’ pottery classes for children aged 14-19.
- ‘Young makers’ pottery for children who receive home education, aged 6-14 years.

Inclusive film making for young people
Young people aged 14-19, can take part in this series of inclusive film-making classes.
This is a fantastic chance for young people to not only learn the basics of film-making, but also understand about accessibility, and how films can be made for everyone, no matter how complex their communication needs.

Drumming and percussion workshops
In these workshops you’ll learn the basics of percussion, playing a range of different percussion instruments.
This drum group offers a unique chance for people to connect through the sensory experience that drums provide. From learning new rhythms and patterns, to feeling the vibrations of different drums.

‘Food Fusion’ inclusive cookery classes
For all people aged 16 and over, you will learn new culinary skills at these inclusive cookery classes in our fully accessible kitchens.

For people supported by Sense
A range of personalised day service opportunities are available for children and adults supported by Sense, the national disability charity for people with complex communication needs.

At TouchBase Pears, a suite of fully equipped specialist rooms, designed to support people with additional needs, act as ‘base’ from which individuals can choose how to spend their time.
There is a range of art, sport and wellbeing activities for people that Sense supports.
